The Bently Nevada 3500/20 Rack Interface Module (RIM) is the primary interface for the 3500 Machinery Protection System. It serves as the central communication hub, facilitating data exchange between the monitoring modules within the rack and external software, such as the 3500 System Configuration Software and System 1 Condition Monitoring and Diagnostic Software. The 3500/20 RIM is essential for configuring the rack, retrieving real-time data and status information, and accessing historical event logs. It occupies the first slot in the rack, adjacent to the power supplies, and is a critical component for any comprehensive machinery monitoring strategy.
