Eaton MTL5314

The Eaton MTL5314 is a single-channel, intrinsically safe (I.S.) relay output interface designed for industrial process control systems. It enables a safe-area load to be controlled by a switch or proximity detector located in a hazardous area. The module provides a fully-floating, single-pole changeover relay output, making it suitable for applications requiring the switching of higher power loads, such as solenoids or alarms, from a low-power hazardous-area signal. Its primary function is to ensure the safe operation of electrical equipment in potentially explosive atmospheres by limiting the energy transferred to the hazardous zone.
