The MTL 2213 is a high-integrity, two-channel switch/proximity detector repeater designed for use in intrinsically safe (I.S.) systems. It serves as a crucial interface between hazardous-area sensors and safe-area control systems. This unit provides a fully-floating DC supply for sensors like NAMUR proximity detectors or standard switches located in hazardous environments. It accurately detects the sensor’s status (on/off) and repeats it to the safe area through two independent solid-state relay outputs. The MTL 2213 ensures reliable signal isolation and is ideal for applications in process control and automation where safety and signal integrity are paramount.
