The Beckhoff EL1809 is a high-density EtherCAT Terminal designed for efficient signal acquisition in industrial automation systems. It features 16 digital input channels within a compact 12 mm housing, making it an ideal solution for applications where space in the control cabinet is at a premium. This terminal acquires binary 24V DC control signals from the process level and transmits them, electrically isolated, to the higher-level automation unit. The EL1809 utilizes a 1-wire connection technique, and the signal state of each channel is clearly indicated by a light-emitting diode (LED), simplifying diagnostics and commissioning.
