The ABB NPBA-02 is a PROFIBUS DP adapter module designed to seamlessly connect ABB drives to a PROFIBUS network. This module acts as a slave on the network, enabling fast and reliable communication between the drive and a master controller, such as a PLC. It supports both PROFIBUS DP and DPV1 protocols, allowing for cyclic data exchange for control and acyclic data exchange for parameter setting, monitoring, and diagnostics. The NPBA-02 is easy to install into the drive’s option slot and is powered directly from the drive’s control board, simplifying system integration and setup. It is compatible with a wide range of ABB low voltage AC drives, making it a versatile solution for industrial automation applications requiring robust network connectivity.
