The GE UR8LH is a high-performance Line Differential Relay, a key component of the Multilin Universal Relay (UR) platform. Designed for the comprehensive protection of transmission and sub-transmission lines, the UR8LH provides secure and reliable operation for critical power system assets. It employs a sophisticated phase-segregated differential algorithm for high-speed fault detection and tripping, ensuring minimal system disruption. The UR8LH is capable of protecting multi-terminal lines with up to six terminals and integrates a full suite of backup protection functions, including distance, overcurrent, and breaker failure protection.
