Reasons why the hydraulic cylinder does not work

A hydraulic cylinder is a device that uses pressure to work. It needs to be used together with the tools it is equipped with. It can be used for lifting, bending, squeezing, stretching, punching and many other operations. Because of its versatility, it has a wide range of uses. However, if you don’t pay attention when using it, problems will still occur. A common problem is that the hydraulic cylinder does not work. Why doesn’t it work? What is the reason for not working?

1. The hydraulic cylinder works by pressure, so it needs to rely on the sealing effect of the sealing ring to seal the hydraulic oil in the upper and lower chambers to maintain a certain working pressure. However, if the sealing ring is damaged or worn, it will not play the role of sealing the oil, which will cause the pressure to fail to rise, or the pressure value is too low, so it cannot work.

2. It is also possible that the mechanism that the hydraulic cylinder is working to drag is more difficult and the resistance is too large. If the resistance is large, it will be easier to get stuck, causing the work to stop.

3. When the hydraulic cylinder is working, it is necessary to ensure that the oil enters the hydraulic cylinder. If it does not enter, it cannot work. Generally, the oil cannot enter because the components themselves are too tight, resulting in the oil being unable to enter.

4. When the pressure source is disturbed, the pressure will become unstable, either high or low, and it will not work normally.

5. If the piston rod or cylinder of the hydraulic cylinder is stuck or blocked, it may cause the operation to be not smooth or even stop. The entry of air will also have an impact. If the amount of air reaches a certain level, the operation will stop.

6. It may also be due to reasons related to the mobile hydraulic pump station. Wear or damage to the pump of the hydraulic pump station will affect the oil cylinder pressure and fail to rise, which will affect the work.

7. In addition, attention should be paid to the wire circuit. If the wire circuit used has switch buttons, pressure relays, travel switches and other components, then no signal will cause the solenoid valve to not be powered on and work, and the pressure will not rise. Therefore, it will not work.
