The Pepperl+Fuchs KFA6-SR2-Ex2.W is a 2-channel isolated switch amplifier designed for intrinsic safety applications. It is used to transfer digital signals, such as those from NAMUR sensors or dry mechanical contacts, from a hazardous area to a safe area. Each input channel controls a separate SPDT (Form C) relay output. The device features selectable operating modes for the relays (normally open/normally closed) and includes line fault detection (LFD) to monitor for lead breakage and short-circuits in the field circuit. A red LED provides a clear fault indication. As part of the K-System, this unit is easily mounted on a 35 mm DIN rail and features screw terminals for secure wiring.
