The ABB ABZ/S2.1 is a versatile 2-fold analog input module designed for integration into ABB i-bus KNX building automation systems. This Modular DIN Rail Component (MDRC) serves as a crucial interface, converting analog signals from a wide range of conventional sensors into KNX telegrams. It features two independent inputs that can process various signal types, including voltage (0-1 V, 0-5 V, 0-10 V), current (0-20 mA, 4-20 mA), NTC temperature sensors, and potentiometers. The device can also be configured to monitor potential-free contacts, making it an extremely flexible solution for capturing environmental data like temperature, brightness, or wind speed and integrating it into an intelligent control system. Power is supplied directly via the KNX bus, simplifying installation.
