The Pepperl+Fuchs KFD2-SR2-EX2.W is a high-performance 2-channel isolated barrier designed for intrinsically safe applications. This switch amplifier reliably transfers digital signals from NAMUR sensors or mechanical contacts situated in hazardous areas to the safe area. It provides two separate relay contact outputs for controlling loads in the safe zone. The unit features integrated line fault detection (LFD) which monitors the field circuit for both short-circuits and lead breakage, ensuring maximum system integrity and safety. Housed in a compact enclosure, it is designed for easy mounting on a 35 mm DIN rail and is suitable for applications requiring a Safety Integrity Level up to SIL 2.
