The Pepperl+Fuchs KFU8-UFC-1D is a high-performance, universal frequency converter designed for intrinsic safety applications. This 1-channel isolated barrier reliably converts digital signals from NAMUR sensors or dry contacts situated in hazardous areas into a proportional 0/4 mA to 20 mA analog output signal for safe area control systems. It is equipped with two relay contact outputs for monitoring trip values, making it ideal for overspeed and underspeed detection on rotating equipment. The unit features configurable parameters via PACTware software, line fault detection, and is suitable for use in safety-related applications up to SIL 2, ensuring maximum operational reliability and process safety.
