Beckhoff EK1101
The Beckhoff EK1101 EtherCAT Coupler serves as the essential link between an EtherCAT network and the Beckhoff EtherCAT Terminals (ELxxxx). This compact and efficient coupler converts the passing telegrams from the Ethernet 100BASE-TX protocol to the E-bus signal representation, enabling seamless integration of a wide range of I/O terminals. A station consists of one EK1101 coupler and any number of EtherCAT Terminals, which are automatically detected and addressed. The EK1101 features two RJ45 sockets, allowing for a simple and effective linear topology without the need for additional switches, making it a cost-effective and powerful solution for decentralized I/O systems in industrial automation.
