The Beckhoff EL1008 is a digital input terminal designed for the EtherCAT I/O system. It efficiently acquires binary 24V DC control signals from the process level, such as from sensors, switches, or encoders, and transmits them with electrical isolation to the higher-level automation unit. With eight input channels in a compact housing, the EL1008 offers a high-density solution for signal acquisition in control cabinets. Each channel features an integrated LED that indicates its signal state, allowing for rapid and straightforward diagnostics directly on the module.
